Register for PerformFISH Online Training in Nutrition and Feeding in Seabream and Seabass Production

Registration is open for the June 21-22 PerformFISH online training programme covering the latest understanding of nutrition and feeding in seabream and seabass production. Based on the outcomes of PerformFISH’s work package 4, this training will run from 09:15-16:00 CEST both days and will be of relevance to to anyone with an interest or role in the sector, including fish farmers, students/researchers interested in aquaculture nutrition, feed formulators and producers, and aquaculture veterinarians.

The two-day training session will consist of five general training topics that have been designed to walk participants through a process beginning with a general understanding of the nutritional quality of feeds on the first day, followed by a series of techniques and tools for improving feeding and husbandry on the second day. Attendees will learn about recommended dietary levels of minerals and vitamins, novel raw materials in commercial diets, conditioning farmed fish to novel feeds, accurately evaluating fish for skeletal anomalies, biomass and fish length, the use of a decision support tool for optimal feeding, and reviewing current challenges on aquaculture farms.
