The training will consist of six lectures with two dedicated question and answer sessions and cover an overview of genetics and genomics in aquaculture, the bases of selective breeding, implementing parentage assignment and genomic selection, the genetics of efficiency traits, the incorporation of GxE in the genetic evaluation of fish broodstock and selecting for disease and parasite resistance. The training will use European sea bass and sea bream as examples and it’s highly recommended for members of the Mediterranean fish farming sector.

The event is free to attend, but attendees must register here to receive a link to the training (the link will be sent closer to the event date). A full programme is available here.
