GAIN Workshop: Novel aquafeeds – Online, 21-22 September 2021
The GAIN project, with support from PerformFISH and related H2020 projects AquaIMPACT, MEDAID, AQUAVITAE, NewTechAqua; and project SUSHIN (Italy), held a workshop to present and discuss novel developments of knowledge on novel fish feeds that support eco-intensification of the European aquaculture industry, providing training to aquafeed value chain professionals and researchers on this topic, including aspects of value creation and sustainable use of by-products and side streams from aquaculture, fisheries and agro-industries.
PerformFISH Annual Meeting – Split, Croatia, 28-30 May 2019
PerformFISH project partners met in Split, Croatia to discuss the project preliminary results and the next steps for year three. The meeting was held from 28-30 May 2019.
XXIV Congress of the Italian Society of Fish Pathology (S.I.P.I)
11st – 13rd October 2018, Turin, Italy
This leading event in fish pathology was attended by research teams from PerformFISH partners UNIUD and UNIBO. UNIUD presented a poster concerning larval histology entitled Past and present histological of gilthead larvae: what has changed in the last 20 years? (title translated from Italian). UNIBO’s presentation focused on preliminary results on Nodavirosis in sea bream from PerformFISH research, which was runner-up best presentation of the congress.

The event was attended by more than 100 representatives of the scientific community and around 20 industry and policy figures.
SeaTech Week
8th -12th October 2018, Brest, France
Katerina Moutou, PerformFISH project coordinator, was invited as a panellist for the Smart Fisheries and Aquaculture Round Table organised in the framework of the five-day event last October. Her presentation and contributions to the round table focused on the role of PerformFISH to achieve a more sustainable aquaculture.

Workshop: The importance of Social Acceptability for Mediterranean Aquaculture Development: Stocktaking and the way forward
29th August 2018, Montpellier, France
The EU H2020 MedAID project organised this workshop, which aimed to review the current knowledge of social acceptability and awareness of aquaculture products with a special perspective from coastal and local communities. PerformFISH project partner Ekaterina Tribilustova from EUROFISH was invited to present PerformFISH preliminary results regarding consumer attitudes towards aquaculture products.

29th Conference of European Comparative Endocrinologists
18th – 22nd August 2018, Glasgow, UK
Prof. Jaume Pérez-Sánchez was invited to present a State-of-the-Art lecture of GH/IGF axis in fish during the session “Modulation of the Endocrine System: Effects on Metabolism and Growth”. His lecture, “Updates on the Cross Talk Between Growth, Nutrients and Endocrine/Environmental Factors in Marine Farmed Fish”, focused on results obtained through his research in PerformFISH.

18th International Symposium on Fish Nutrition and Feeding
3rd – 7th June 2018, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain
Researchers of the Nutrigenomics Group participated at the 18th International Symposium on Fish Nutrition and Feeding.PhD student Paula Simó-Mirabet presented her poster titled “Hypomethylated CG islands of sirtuin promoters in gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata)”. This study was conducted in the framework of the PerformFISH project.

PerformFISH Annual Meeting

The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria hosted the PerformFISH annual meeting, where the partners assessed the project progress and agreed on the next steps for the following year.
AQUAFARM 2018
14th-15th February 2018, Pordenone, Italy
Aquafarm 2018 is an annual Aquaculture fair of national and international significance, with the participation of companies, industries, exhibitors, associations and institutions at its exhibitions and annexed scientific and promotional seminars. Researchers from the University of Bologna were present in this event where they displayed the PerformFISH poster.
