Organisation Description

EUROFISH, the international organisation for the development of fisheries in Central and Eastern Europe, has a documented experience in executing a variety of projects in the fisheries and aquaculture sector, including market studies, promotion, communication, raising public awareness and dissemination of information activities. It is a leading source of marketing and trade support for fish producers and exporters in Central and Eastern Europe and more broadly in the European region, focusing on post-harvest fisheries and aquaculture industries. EUROFISH carried out a series of market surveys and studies, both for public administration and private entities. The studies included data collection and conducting interviews with stakeholders; methodology writing; analysis (including micro and macro-economic, social, financial, institutional and legal aspects), conclusions and drafting of recommendations.

EUROFISH is the publisher of EUROFISH Magazine (www.eurofishmagazine.com), a specialized bi-monthly journal which is widely distributed in Europe. EUROFISH contributes to the development of the fisheries and aquaculture sector through the publication of marketing and industry related information in the EUROFISH Magazine, the EUROFISH website, and other specialised publications. EUROFISH has extensive experience in effective design and implementation of communication activities, production and distribution of promotional and informational materials, and organising events covering a broad geographical area.

EUROFISH is a member of or has cooperation agreements with European aquaculture networks (e.g. European Aquaculture Technology and Information Platform – EATiP, the European Aquaculture Society – EAS), regional organisations (e.g. General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean – GFCM, Baltic Sea Advisory Council – BSAC), Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), and other public and private organisations in the field of fisheries and aquaculture.

Role in PerformFISH

EuroFish will lead WP5 on Marketing Strategies and Consumer Perception and will collaborate strongly with the Producers’ Associations to capitalize on previous marketing efforts and health claims as well as the code of conduct and responsible practices to create smart marketing strategies taking into consideration consumer perception and demand from MMFF.

Katia Tribilustova

Katia Tribilustova has extensive experience in conducting marketing studies and analysis in the fisheries and aquaculture sector, including product evaluation, market potential and opportunities, drafting recommendations and designing strategies, with focus on Central and Eastern Europe as well as Eurofish Member Countries. Ms Tribilustova’s contribution to past and current projects include: Planning, methodology and analysis of existing data and on-going studies; Preparation of questionnaires and definition of indicators; Data collection and socio-economic analysis; Conducting interviews, data collection, analysis of local and national information (financial, reports, statistics, etc.); Desk studies, development of surveys, market research, market orientation, supply chain analysis and trends; Identifying strengths and weaknesses of the national aquaculture industries, drafting synthetic results; Reporting (conclusions and drafting recommendations); Preparation of presentations on markets and trade aspects at international fisheries and aquaculture events; Organization of B2B meetings, workshops and conferences; Organisation of and participation at international conferences and events, including preparation of agenda, selection of speakers, choosing of the venue and any other logistics required. Ms Tribilustova has a Business Administration degree from the Telemark University College, Boe, Norway and a postgraduate diploma in Project Administration from Buskerud University College, Kongsberg, Norway; LUISS University, Rome, Italy. Ms Tribilustova is fluent in Russian (mother language), English, Norwegian, Italian and has a very good understanding of Danish.

Anca Sfetcovici

Anca Sfetcovici has extensive experience in coordination and implementation of EU, bilateral and multilateral financed projects in the field of fisheries and aquaculture including economics as well as developing project proposals and identification of funding opportunities. Ms Sfetcovici’s contribution to past and current projects include: Planning, methodology and analysis of existing data and on-going studies; Preparation of questionnaires and definition of indicators; Conducting interviews, data collection, analysis of local and national information (financial, reports, statistics, etc.); Development of surveys, desk studies, market research, market orientation, supply chain analysis and trends; Identifying strengths and weaknesses of the local/national fisheries industries, drafting synthetic results; Reporting (conclusions and drafting recommendations); Dissemination and communication of information activities, including presentation of project results and industry related topics (e.g. aquaculture, trade and markets etc.) in seminars and workshops; Organisation of and participation at international conferences and events, including preparation of agenda, selection of speakers, choosing of the venue and any other logistics required. Ms Sfetcovici has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Warwick, UK and a MSc engineering degree from the Technical University of Civil Engineering, Bucharest, Romania. Ms Sfetcovici is fluent in Romanian (mother language), English, French, Italian, and has basic knowledge of Danish and Hindi.
